The things you'll need for this DIY. You can find in pretty much in your home where store you're going to need some chick pillows, a king-sized sheet, a throw blanket and some nice cushions start off with our couch, isn't very comfortable to sit on and that's kind of the whole point of a couch. So, to make it a wee bit more comfortable, I took those two cheap pillows and stuffed them underneath the bottom cushions just to make it a bit nicer to sit on. The next thing I wanted to do was cover up the fading fabric of the couch, because that was my main issue with it. Really it just did not look very good at all.
If I do say so myself, the sheet draped over the couch is never going to look quite as good as an actual couch cover, but just remember that you've saved a lot of money by doing this, so I guess it depends on what your priorities are. If you've got an old couch in your flat that you don't really like, I definitely recommend you give this a go. It's a great way to up cycle a piece of furniture without having to throw it out and get a new one.
But I'm going for a low-maintenance up cycle job here I don't really mind the gaps, though, because this side of the couch isn't really seeing much and I'm just going to drape a throw blanket over the other side to cover that up a bit for a finishing touch. I'M popping two cushions on the couch, which are much nicer than the ones that will need to start with and give the room a bit of color and personality and there's a finished couch, looking much better than how it did originally.
